Enterprise Ireland have launched the latest call for applications for the Online Retail Scheme on the 29th April. This a competitive fund scheme which is administered by Enterprise Ireland on behalf of the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation.
Their is a total fund of €2m and applications are open until 3PM on the 27th May. The purpose of the Online Retail Scheme is to enable Irish-owned retailers to enhance their digital capability and to develop a more competitive online offer. This will encourage sustainable growth in the Irish retail sector on offline and online environments.
Successful applicants will be awarded funding to support a maximum of 80% of the project eligible costs with a maximum grant of €40,000.

Who can apply for the Online Retail Scheme?
The COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme is open to any Irish-owned retail business that had 10 or more employees on or before the 29th February 2020.
There are a number of other criteria a business must meet before making the application including having a bricks-and-mortar retail outlet which accounts for the majority of revenue. The business must also have an existing online presence in the form of a website or social media pages.

We are encouraging all Irish retailers to review the COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme and consider making an application. This is the third round of calls for the Online Retail Scheme with the biggest funding available to date at €2m.
