You have an idea for your next digital adventure (be it a new product, app, website, online store or something completely left of field) and you don’t know what the next steps are (this is absolutely fine and very common) – whether you are a start-up or a large organisation with a project so large that you need help to understand and define it, we recommend using our Discovery services. Together with our partners at Code Factory, this discovery phase will give you all the information you need to start developing your product(s) and kick off the project.
Who needs Discovery?
Whether you are a start-up, a large successful business or an individual and you have a clear vision for your product and are now looking to move forward to the designs and development phase then this is for you. We have worked with clients of all sizes on Discovery, some of which don’t have enough local understanding / knowledge to pull together all the moving parts, others who don’t have enough resource.
How does it work?
Based on your product requirements, we will work together as an internal team to review your product and project to evaluate it and the requirements to build it. The Discovery standardly consists on a range of Developers, UX / UI guys and Business Analysts. Together with a Project Manager they will create a development plan based on deliverables so that you will be aware of what you need before the project kicks off.
Discovery is much more than simply looking ‘under the hood’ and timescales will vary depending on the project size.
Why is it so important?
The ultimate goal of the Discovery phase is to provide you with all the information you need to start development on your project. Said information can include designs, technical specs, integrations with suppliers and much more.
The ability to identify possible impediments and more importantly, prevent those, is a major benefit of carrying out a Discovery phase. Identifying issues and proposing solutions in advance will help us overcome these challenges and help us ensure we meet our deadlines and budgets meaning we can minimise delays and keep the costs down.
What happens next?
Once you receive the results from our Discovery phase with deliverables, you will have a number of options including taking the deliverables in-house and do everything yourself or leave it all to us. We work with customer who do both, there is no obligation.
